Rena's review: Oribe haircare

It was love at first sight with Oribe products. I first saw them IRL a few years ago at Barney's New York. I just fell in love with their luxe packaging and their amazing smell. Being a terrible with packing I bought the Oribe Dry Texturizing spray travel sized and I was hooked.

I have tried countless drugstore and high end haircare in the hope of taming my misbehaving frizzy hair. Since last year, I have been trying to find products that are effective regardless of the price tag now that I have added balayage to my hair. Oribe is the first haircare brand that I have been loyal too and I will explain why below.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray - My everyday favourite, my hair is thick but can be a bit flat at times. I am also effortless (lazy) with hair styling, therefore this is perfect for me. I just lift the back of my hair up and release my hair while spraying, or just flip my hair upside down and just spray at the roots. There is no rules when it comes to this spray. You can spray however much or as little as you like. The smell is just so amazing and if I forgot my perfume, this will do.

Oribe Signature Hair Mask - The most luxurious and effective hair mask that I have ever tried. I do not mind spending more on on hair masks all these years, I have tried everything - highend or drugstore but I have never been satisfied. Most of them are effective after the first few use and stopped working. The Oribe Signature Hair Mask is just effective. My hair feels soft and silky every single time I've used it. The instructions say that you can leave this overnight but I personally wouldn't do that as my hair is prone to being oily.

Oribe Imperial Blowout Transformation Styling Creme - The most effective leave in conditioner/pre styling hair balm for a blowdry. Again, I tried many and most of them are either sticky or leaves a greasy residue. This balm is a cream-to-oil-to-powder formula so it gives a matte non-sticky finish on my hair. Genius.

*Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Oil - This oil is everything: a heat protectant, leave-in conditioner and adds beautiful luster to my hair. This is non greasy (so important for me) and brings out the colour in my balayage when I apply more at the ends of my hair. Can't live without this. Love love love.

Oribe Shampoo for Beautiful Colour - A lot of colour safe shampoos seemed a little heavy for my liking, the Oribe Shampoo for Beautiful Colour (love the simple name) is not the case. Lightweight and easy to wash off. Love the luxurious red bottle.

Oribe Masque for Beautiful Colour - Again, not your regular thick balmy mask. However, I prefer the Signature mask for hydration and repairing. I think this is a good a colour care mask but it is not as moisturising as I thought it would be.

I will definitely repurchase the Dry Texturizing Shampoo, the Imperial Blowout Transformation Styling Creme, the Gold Lust Nourishing Oil and the Signature Hair Mask.
