Makeup is the fun bit, and I wrote about my favourites here
Skincare is less fun, but super important. With skincare, I do my research, read reviews, hoard samples when possible and hope for the best. My skin concern is dehyration, congested skin, acne prone and as I am no longer in my 20s, I have been seriously invested in anti-aging products.
These below have served me well, and I am happy to repurchase:
La Roche Posay Serozinc - I bought this as soon as I read that this has arrived in Australia. Super soothing and the zinc content is good for acne prone skin.
Biologique Recherche PV 50 - As soon as Lisa writes about it, I placed my order with Melanie Grant. I read so much about the legendary toner being a French favourite. Despite the price tag, this is worth it, I believe this plays an important role to decongest my skin
Glossier The Supers - As a Glossier devotee and a fan of serums, I bought the set. My favourite is the Super Bounce. Super Pure is a a delight because of the watery consistency. The trios work well under the Priming Moisturizer and completes my morning routine.
Ultraceuticals Even SkinTone serum - Lisa talked me into buying this. I use this on alternate days but only at night. A straightforward AHA and BHA exfolitating serum. I will repurchase but will go one strength up.
SKII Genoptics Aura Essence - Unfortunately I began to notice some faint spots on top of my cheeks. I read about this for years and took the plunge. I read that you need to finish the bottle (maybe 3 months) to be able to see the results. I will report back on this.
Sunday Riley Luna - At first, I overused this product (I use it every night). My skin broke out. I stopped using and was pretty devastated. I read further reviews, you are meant to ease into it, use it on alternate nights. It works. I use this as my last step for my night routine.
Sunday Riley Good Genes - Finally, I understand what the hype is. I use this 3 or 3 times a week when I want a good overnight peel.
